I have been working on garage doors for well over 15 years now and to be honest I still enjoy every bit of it. I grew up in Western Sydney where you learn early how to fix things yourself. My dad was a sparkie, always in the shed or under the house, and I reckon that is where I picked up my love for hands-on work and doing things properly.
After finishing school I jumped straight into the trades. Tried a few different paths like carpentry, mechanical work, general maintenance, but it was garage doors that really clicked with me. It is one of those jobs where you need to know what you are doing, but you also need to listen, be patient, and just get the job done right.
I started out working for a few bigger mobs around Sydney learning the ropes and getting experience on everything from old manual roller doors to modern motorised setups. In 2017 I decided it was time to go out on my own. I wanted to do things my way with better service, better communication, and proper attention to detail.
